Parish Library

Parish Library
St. Andrew’s has a small lending library located in the lower level of the building, accessible from upstairs when the building is open (9:30-3:30 weekdays and on Sundays), and accessible from the lower entrance when the Thrift Shop is open (Tuesday through Saturday, 10-1).   Anyone unable to visit the library may request a book by contacting one of the library team members by phone or through the office.

Some 400 titles are shelved in subject categories reflecting the interest of St. Andrew’s members: AA/12-step, Bible, biography, church history, children, Composing a Life, death-grief-suffering, Faith and Issues, Holy Land, liturgy, novel-reel theology, other religions, pilgrimission, prayer, Sacred Ground, and spirituality.

Borrowing books involves a simple sign-out process as explained in the Parish Library. Don’t hesitate to check the collection – and to check out books that may interest you.

Donations appropriate to the library are welcome.  Please check the alphabetical list by author, located in hard copy in the library as well as electronically, below, of current holdings to avoid duplication.  Please also follow all other posted instructions about condition, quantity and publication date of any books to be donated. Donations are to be placed only in the cubby in the library marked “Donations” and not elsewhere in the church.

Members of the parish team managing the library are: Marni Eaton, Lisa Gover, Ginger Milord, Alice Perry, Alison Seward, Karen Shepherd, Jeannie Sperry and Anne Watkins. Please speak with any one of us about the library.
