Pilgrimage to the Holy Land -27 December - 8 January
Initially scheduled for the end of this month, our pilgrimage to the Holy Land will take place from 27 December 2022 - 8 January 2023 and will now include 3 nights in Jordan! Geared to young people but open to all, this will be an experiential and energetic study tour with plenty of fun. The itinerary will include all of the expected highlights in Israel and the West Bank with our guide Jared Goldfarb and his Palestinian colleagues. The Bible will come alive as we walk in the footsteps of Jesus and the Hebrew prophets and kings. Our accommodation will be at Ein Gev Kibbutz Hotel on the Sea of Galilee and then at Ecce Homo Guesthouse in the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem. The Jordan segment will include the incredible "lost city" of Petra, Mount Nebo, the Baptism of Site of Jesus and Jerash (arguably the best preserved Greco-Roman ruins outside of Italy). We'll stay for two nights at Dana Guesthouse perched on the edge of the Great Rift Valley overlooking Jordan’s largest and most spectacular nature reserve. Our final night in Jordan will be at a 4- or 5-star hotel on the Dead Sea, affording the chance to take a dip in the famous healing, mineral-rich waters that magically keep one from sinking. Ben and Margaret Greenwood, Toby MacLeod and Natalie Stark are signed up, so we hope that their night hike sponsors will allow the funding to be transferred to the new pilgrimage. More details along with the total cost will be available soon, but if you are interested in joining us, please ping Jay an email HERE.
