crafty critters
The Crafty Critters is an informal, sometimes expanding and sometimes shrinking, group of women who get together on a Tuesday morning for an hour or more to engage in crafts and conversation. The crafts are made in anticipation of the next church fair where they will be sold to benefit the church’s Outreach Fund.
Craft projects include knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, needlepoint, sewing, and making greeting cards – whether from recycled cards, with stamps and ink or with photos. At any fair you might see doll clothes, Christmas ornaments, hand-painted items, table cloths, napkins and place mats for sale from the hands of our crafters. This is a group with a very long history at St. Andrew’s, once called quite simply “the Tuesday Morning Work Group,” and more recently taking on the alliterative title. We are once again (after a COVID-necessitated hiatus) meeting in the church building, the draw of conversation and “work” in the company of others bringing people together – sharing fellowship and conversation, ideas for new projects, and assistance with current projects, exchanging puzzles and smiles with one another. All are welcome to join crafters on any Tuesday beginning at 9:30 am. Come when you can whether occasionally or every week. |
