Rector: The Rev'd Jay MacLeod
A 1979 graduate of Kearsarge Regional High School, Jay came home in 2013 after twenty years of ordained ministry in England. He received a Rhodes Scholarship to study in England where he met his British wife Sally Asher. They have three children: Asher, Kate and Toby. Jay has degrees from Harvard and Oxford Universities and is the author of Ain’t No Makin’ It, a sociology textbook on urban poverty. Before ordination he worked as a community organizer and oral historian in rural Mississippi. He trained for the priesthood at Lincoln Theological College and served parishes in English mining and mill towns before becoming parish priest for ten years of Britain's most culturally diverse neighborhood in Bedford. He was also Interfaith Advisor to the Bishop and Diocese of St. Albans from 2003 - 2013. Jay loves being back in the Kearsarge area with his parents just down the road. He enjoys visiting parishioners in their homes but during the winter is even happier to meet church members at the base of the North Peak Chairlift at 9 am on a weekday! Email |

Nicole has studied the tambin (three-holed African flute) with Dave Kobrenski and plays the drums in his Landaya West African rhythm ensemble. During the summer, Nicole performs with “Folk Fusion,” her all-woman band, on the classical flute, pennywhistle, and djembe drum, or in the classical duo “Silver and Cedar,” a guitar and flute combination.
