last sunday offering
At St. Andrew's the loose plate offerings on the last Sunday of each month are given to an organization chosen by our Outreach Committee. Donations for the Last Sunday Offering can also be made through our Giving Online page or sent directly to the office.
November Recipient: KREM (Kearsarge Regional Ecumenical Ministries.
KREM is a non-profit association established in 2001 by the churches in New London to address individual and family crises through emergency aid funds.
Every community requires a safety net for those in crisis. KREM helps fill that need in New London and the surrounding towns of Andover, Bradford, Danbury, Newbury, Salisbury, Springfield, Sunapee, Sutton, Warner, and Wilmot. KREM is administered by an ecumenical volunteer board, which keeps administrative costs under $1,000 annually and ensures that charitable contributions go directly to those in need. For St. Andrew's Froncie Quinn and Jackie Thompson serve as stewards and board members.
KREM responds to referrals from local churches, schools, agencies, and governments as well as to direct appeals. KREM addresses such crises as unexpected loss of income, accidental injury or serious illness, dire needs of children and families, and other critical situations for which no other help is available. KREM can be the difference between a family having heat or not in the winter. KREM can be the path to continued transportation so that a recipient can get to work on time and keep a job. KREM can protect the housed against temporary homelessness.
